Meet Abby

- Horse Trainer - Riding Coach - Lesson Instructor -

Abby was born with a God given love of horses, though her family was not involved in the equestrian world. By age three she was telling people she was going to be a horse trainer, to the amusement of friends and family.

At age twelve she volunteered for the summer at a local horse stable, mucking pens and leading around camp children on ponies and her family knew she was hooked for life!

Abby started out working with trainers in the Natural Horsemanship world, that set her on a path for training horses in a kinder way and teaching them with methods they can understand.

Later, Abby had the chance to study under a trainer who was well versed in Classical Dressage, which educated her in helping the horse to move in balance, and train to a higher level. One of her most fulfilling opportunities was being invited to intern for two months under the creator and founder of Cowboy Dressage, Eitan Beth-Halachmy.

Cowboy Dressage is her discipline of choice because of its’ focus on Soft Feel and kindness to the horse.

Abby has spent thousands of hours in clinics, lessons, and lectures presented by various excellent horsemen and women. Some of the trainers she feels she owes her knowledge to are Marcia Moore, Nan Funkhouser, Jeff Sanders, and Cody Harrison, though there have been others along the way who have taken the time to invest in her as well. Because of her unique background in both Natural Horsemanship and Classical Dressage, Abby's program has its own special flair, a blending of the old and the new.

In addition to being a certified Cowboy Dressage clinician, Abby specializes in Groundwork, Liberty, Obstacles, and La Garrocha. She enjoys the variety of these disciplines and believes that used together they create for well-rounded horses and riders. Her passion as an instructor is helping her clients to develop a meaningful connection and true partnership with their horses.
